You’ve heard about lights that flash with the music but how about lights that are actually embedded right into the speaker?  That’s what the Ion Flash Cube Bluetooth Speaker is all about.

I caught my first glance of this cool flashing beauty from Ion Audio amongst other cool things recently at London Drug’s LD Tech 2016. As the name says, it’s shaped like a cube and looks like the old flash cube.

First and foremost, it’s a Bluetooth enabled wireless speaker. It can punch out 50 W of power from its 5 1/2 inch woofer and 1 inch tweeter. What makes it unique and “fashionable” – pardon the pun, is that it has a lighted woofer and tweeter that can display a full range of club colours. For a better personal experience, Flash Cube can be programmed for different lighting modes for just the right ambience or mood.

You can easily control the speaker and your tunes i.e. track, skip, volume control play and pause as well as the various lighting options right from the touchpad that’s integrated on the front of the speaker, or alternately via the handheld remote control that’s included in the package.

It’s solidly built, comes in a stylish black housing measuring roughly 10 inches all around and weighs in at just less than 10 lbs.

If you have a non-Bluetooth audio source, there’s also a 3.5 mm audio input so that virtually any music can be played through it.

And if you want to get a true stereo experience you can grab a second Flash Cube and also wirelessly connect it.

The Ion Flash Cube retails for $129.99 and you can pick one up from London Drugs.
